Editorial Independence Policy

The Critical Patient Journal (RDC) carries out its editorial activity with total scientific and editorial independence, ensuring that all decisions regarding the evaluation, peer review, acceptance, rejection, editing and publication of manuscripts are made exclusively based on scientific merit, methodological quality, relevance and adequacy of the works to the scope and objectives of the Journal.

Editorial independence is a fundamental principle of the RDC, ensuring that the editorial process remains free from political, institutional, ideological, economic, commercial or any other interests that could compromise the objectivity, impartiality and credibility of scientific publishing.

This policy is aligned with the Recommendations for the Conduct, Reporting, Editing and Publication of Scholarly Work in Medical Journals of  the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE), with the guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and with the Principles of Transparency and Best Practice in Scholarly Publishing.
